Here’s a first look at our 2011/2012 season!

The Official Blues Brothers Revue
October 22 @ 8 pm.

It seems like yesterday that brothers, Jake and Elwood Blues, played by John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd, invited the world to join them on a ‘mission from God’. But things never went according to plan for Jake and Elwood, and their story evolved into a rollicking journey of misadventure, and one of best loved movies of all time. Now, thirty years later, see the Blues Brothers’ live in the Official Blues Brothers Revue, starring Wayne Catania as Jake and Kieron Lafferty as Elwood. This Blues Brothers Revue is the only Blues Brothers show to be officially sanctioned by Dan Ackroyd and wife of the late John Belushi, Judith Belushi Pisano.

Gaelic Storm
October 28 @ 8 pm

Gaelic Storm is back in full-force with their newest album, Cabbage, the follow up to their 2008 independent release, What’s The Rumpus? which debuted at #1 on the Billboard World Chart. As many hundreds of thousands of record buyers and live music lovers know, Gaelic Storm is “a whirlwind ruckus” (Village Voice) that tours over two hundred days per year and play high-energy, foot-stomping, feel-good music. Cabbage is further testament to the bands contagious energy, combining influences from rock, bluegrass, Jamaican, African and Middle Eastern music that may surprise those expecting purely traditional Celtic music.

 Orla Falon
(Formerly of Celtic Woman)
November 6 @ 3 pm

Since leaving Celtic Woman at the end of 2008, singer/harpist Órla Fallon has been charting a solo path that included her very own Public Television special in March 2011. Classic Albums Live Performs – Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours
November 12 @ 8 pm

Classic Albums Live takes classic albums and recreates them live, on stage – note for note, cut for cut. Rumours garnered widespread critical acclaim. Praise centered on its production quality and harmonies, which frequently relied on the interplay among three vocalists. The record has inspired the work of musical acts in different genres. Often considered Fleetwood Mac’s best release, it has been featured in several publications’ lists of the best albums of the 1970s and one of the best albums of all time. In 2004, Rumours was re-mastered and reissued with the addition of an extra track and a bonus CD of outtakes from the recording sessions.

March 2 @ 8 pm

The three brothers first single, “Heaven”, reached No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary chart, also crossing over even to the Hot Country Songs chart and was featured in Guitar Hero: On Tour. In 2005 the song won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. Other songs nominated for Grammys include “More Than Love” and “Onda,” both in 2006. Los Lonely Boys just completed their fourth full-length studio album, entitled “Rockpango” (a Spanglish word that means “rock party”).

Red Star Red Army Chours and Dance Ensamble
March 4 @ 3
 pm

The Red Star Red Army Chorus and Dance Ensemble was created in 1978 in Moscow, mostly to raise the cultural level and maintain the battle readiness of the strategic rocket forces and other elements of the Red Army. Accompanied by the balalaika and the bayan (a large button-key accordion), these songs tell of love and loss, of sadness and solace, of brave deeds and everyday problems. Humor and dance can be found here, as well as melancholic longing and heroic pathos.
